The Pink Ninja

So today I had the opportunity to go work out with Ashley from the Biggest Loser (aka. The Pink Ninja). Her mom Sherry from the show was there as well. It was a crazy workout. Mostly though, the point was to keep moving. Up and down, up and down. Up doing jumping jacks, down doing push ups, up doing squats, down doing mountain climbers, up doing toe touches, down doing plank, up doing lunges, down doing sit ups, up doing sprints and so on. It was nuts. My legs totally feel like jello and I sweat tons but it was a great work out. The 5 trainers walking around your group yelling at you to get your knees up, get your butt up, etc didn't hurt either. Definitely kept you going. I always thought I'd be a great contestant on BL but I am starting to think, maybe not. Haha. It is harder than you think!

Anyway, seeing them in person was amazing. Ashley has lost 200 pounds and her mom, Sherry, has lost 100. What an inspiration! I posted their before and after pics below. While I was there I ran into some people that I knew; they had told me about weekend warrior. They told me that the girl coordinating WW is doing small training sessions for a minimal fee. I have a gym membership right now that I never use. It is $50 a month. I am canceling it in lieu of five training sessions per month with this lady since most of my working out is on the treadmill anyway. I think they will help me stay motivated and bust through this plateau.

It was a great day and showed me that I can do more than I think I am capable. It was motivating and I am looking forward to more workouts like that. Hudson's good friend, Tatum, had her three year birthday party today. Props go out to Travis for taking both of our kiddos to the party so I could have this opportunity. What a good daddy! I sure do love him! Hudson had fun at the party; he even got to ride a horsey. It was actually good I didnt go; not sure I could of resisted all the yummy goodies.

Points for Wednesday

29 Points eaten today, 2 points earned in activity points. Walk-ran at the park, 1.5 miles. It was so hot I must have sweat at least a pound. Haha. Got my confirmation for D1 today for my work out with Ashley on Saturday. I am so excited! I am also going on a short walk/hike with the kids at the Ijams Nature Center on Friday with some of the Maryville Moms. Should be fun!

Over, Over, Over

OOPs. I went over today by 10 points! Arrggh. Let me just tell you how easy this is to do. Travis opened up a bag of Doritos while I was making dinner, 20 chips (5 points). Made cookies today with Hudson (only 2 points each) but ate one two many (2 points), Hudson wanted some fruit snacks this afternoon, sounded good, (2 more points). Since it was my day off I had an extra cup of coffee, the fat free coffee creamer (2 points).

Well, that just shows you how you can easily mess up! I guess I'll have to burn some points off now. Too bad that it is 10PM already. Probably won't be working out tonight. Had my workout clothes on since 8:30 but things came up. Not a good excuse but when your 4 month old needs you and hubby is with the two year old, something has to give. Looks like a 90 minute workout for me tomorrow.

Points for the day

27 points exactly! No more left for the night. It is 9PM though, so I will be going to bed shortly. I had a friend challenge me to workout in the mornings. I am off tomorrow so I will be working out. I'll also post activity points.

Went to Panera Bread with some friends today for lunch. I got online and looked for a good option. I ended up having a smoked turkey with no mayo which still equated to about 450 cals. I used to get the Sierra Turkey, sounds healthy but nope 980 cals. Crazy! I am starting to think that eating out kills you! Why can't restaurants make good, healthy food that still tastes great! I know it could be done.

A quick and easy fresh salad

Caprese Salad
2 large Tomatoes (I peel mine by putting them in boiling water for 30 seconds and then in cold water, then the skin just comes right off)
2 small cucumbers
1/2 purple onion
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 C Mozzerella Cheese Balls
1/4 C Balsamic Vinegarette

A Challenge

So Ashley Johnston was on biggest loser and she lives here in Knoxville. She is coming to the hospital for a speaking event and I am planning to come. So I have always said that I wanted a "Jillian Michaels" style workout; well I might of just put my foot in my mouth because this might just kill me. About a year ago I taught CPR for some physical therapists at a place called D1. It was a big training facility and I could see them working out in a big indoor football field. They did some exercises you don't routinely see in the gym but that you do see on the biggest loser (i.e. platform jumping, kettle bells, push ups, etc). Anyway, I thought that a workout bootcamp might be fun.

Well, I noticed that Ashley is having an event there next Saturday. It is free and I already pre-registered. I can't lie that I am a little bit scared, as I know it is going to be an ass whooping. Check out the info here. Any Knoxvillians want to join me? Lets do it!

Weight Watcher results: Week 14

Well, the plateau is broken; one pound lost. Not what I was hoping for but happy to see the scale go down. I worked out on the treadmill 3x this week as well as did the stairs at work. I did good on my eating but yesterday I practically ate a half a watermelon. It was so good. I got a garden sweet one and I just kept putting the bites in my mouth.

I am just so proud that this is week 14 and I am still having results. It is about time to renew my Weight Watchers membership as I had paid for 3 months. I will be renewing it as I feel like I still need the tools to keep me going. This is definitely feeling more like a lifestyle and less like a diet. Maybe that is why the weight loss has slowed down. I still need it to be a diet until I reach my goal. Staying perfect on my points. This week, I am going to post my points for each day of the week. I am supposed to eat 27 points based on my weight but I know that my scale is about 4 pounds heavy so I am going to try and eat 26 each day (which is the amount for 199). I am only setting one goal this week. To only eat 26 points per day and to tell my blog followers how many I ate!
